At the latest Board Meeting it was announced that DNV (SA) is to make a donation to the Institute, for which we are eternally greatful. The money will be used wisely with the emphasis being on the training of financially disadvantage youngsters. Thank you DNV.

There has also being major changes to the board which will allow the Institute to bring all of its "basic safety training" under one umbrella and allow us to train more youngsters without having to ask permission. (Again thank you DNV).

News Flash

Well here it is, After a meeting which was held on Thursday 14th August 2008, Mr Brian Lister will be appointed to the board of directors and with his help this project will begin to come to fruitation.  Hopefully with the help of a sponsor we will be off to Scotland to secure the means of getting the necessary funding needed to push ahead and begin training.  We need to secure Maritime Coastguard Agency (MCA) and other accreditations for our courses at the same time.

Gordon Leighton and Associates will also come into the fold as our maritime employment agents, and with their help we will be able to place the Institute's srudents into full time employment within the maritime industry.
